At the College of Central London in Tower Hamlets, we understand that it is not always possible to attend every scheduled lecture for your course, however, missing just a single session may result in you falling behind. The College gives students the opportunity to remain in contact with their course through its moodle platform.

Distance Learning in Tower Hamlets, London

Flexible Studying

Though we run our fast-track courses on a taught basis, two days per week, we also offer a flexible, on-demand basis to avoid the intensity of fast track taught programmes. We have discovered that teaching the programmes to a rigid timetable doesn't work, as not all students are able to come in for 9:00 a.m. classes and finish at 3:00 p.m. twice a week. So, instead of  classroom-based courses where attendance is a requirement, we have adopted a flexible approach which enables us to focus on student-centered learning, allowing those who need more time to study at their own pace and als for those who are able to study and submit assignments at a fast pace, to finish quicker.

Working and Learning

This method of learning by distance and blended learning removes the burden of regularly attending classroom sessions to a scheduled timetable. Instead, you have the option to learn at your own pace, in the comfort of your own surroundings, which is especially important when combining learning with your job.

We also understand, however, that students may want to experience traditional teaching in a standard teaching environment, with the requirement of attending lectures, seminars, and tutorials. That is why we ensure our courses cater for both attending and distance learners.
